I want to eat healthier because basically I am fat and need it. I take vitamins and such, but really want to get in some good healthy food in. I do not plan on giving up my junk food, but plan on including more healthy food, and this is where the fresh juice comes into play.
I use the blender to make these shakes. Yesterday I purchased apples, bananas, and cucumbers. I got the blender out and a cutting board. I cut the skin off of the apples and cucumbers and removed the peal from the banana. I put the goods into the blender and added water and ice. Then I pressed the go button on the blender and in about thirty seconds a shake was ready. It was not the best tasting thing in the world, but I know it was good for me. There is a lot of liquid in it and some vitamins and minerals from the fruits and vegetables. I think next time I will put yogurt in there to get a bit of protein and some of that stuff for my gut, whatever that good bacteria is. I plan on doing this at least once a day for the next couple of weeks just to see if it helps out some.
Turkey day is real soon, so I will be eating light for the rest of today and tomorrow because I can't wait to eat shovel sized bites of turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. I love Thanksgiving dinner and the part where I pass out after the meal is so relaxing and fun. There will be family around and NFL football on. I am getting excited just thinking about it, not the shakes, but Thanksgiving 2010.
