Hummus is made out of chickpeas and tahini and although you would never catch me eating tahini or those peas alone by themselves you will for sure catch me eating this stuff. The reason? I get to dip something in it. And this is chips. I love chips. I have been trying to cut back on the amount that I eat and I have had to switch to tortilla chips because a birdie told me that they are better for my heart and arteries. I just open up the bag and put a hand full in a cup and take a spoon and put in a bit of the hummus and go to town. I don't think the calories are all that high and there is some fiber and protein in the sauce, so it makes it a healthier option for me. I do miss a full on indulge into the junk food, I would much rather have cheetos because I love those things. Oh well, guess I will just settle for this right now and talk myself into how good this healthier option is. Alright, time to go and get the labor day weekend 2010 started.
