When it comes down to it, the happiest cooks rule the world. Why? Because they love what they do. They put the love into their food that can not be duplicated by anyone else. It is a one time creation.
Being around a grumpy cook is like being around your mom when she is in the worst mood ever, it just is not good. It just makes no sense in the world for someone to be cooking that does not love it. Standing there mixing and matching all of these ingredients to make something that they don't even want to make, what a waste of time.
Next time you go to a super restaurant and you taste food that is out of this world, you better believe there is a cook in the back, or a bunch of cooks it the back happy and enjoying it. There is something that happens where a person loves it when someone eats their food and says something like "my goodness, that is some great tasting shrimp scampi". The cook lights up like a christmas tree filled with lights and it makes them fulfilled.
So, for those who love to cook, rock on.
