Prostate Cancer and my Body Mass Index

My mom called me today and said that she just watched a report on how if someone has a larger BMI number that they will have a bigger prostate tumor. I am in my 30s and not really sure why she is telling me this, but so be it. After asking her what in the world is going on and why she is telling me this, she said that sooner or later my prostate will give me problems. I thought, great mom, thanks a lot. I know that she loves me and cares for me, she only wants the best, so I must listen to her. I asked her what I should do, and she said exercise. It is that time of year when the weather is nice, so that is not a problem. I have been wanting to go out rollerblading for a while since I have two sets, so might as well start that up. She did not say anything about eating and food, but that needs to a topic of thought. It is just so hard to give up all those tasty fried foods and sugar snacks. When I see a chocolate bar my drool just start to go down the side of my mouth and goes right to the floor. Maybe I can just cut back the portion size. Fine, I will try that for a while and see if I can pull it off. Hope it is not like the new years resolution. That was fun, it lasted for two weeks and then went down the drain and forgot about. This time it has to be different. Just one candy bar instead of four.
